Over the last 7 years I have gained a rather eclectic set of experience investing and I think that by sharing my experiences with others and providing a forum for others to share their experiences and observations as well is a benefit. My recent experience with group-think on the $GROW thread at Stockhouse with my Victory Nickel contest suggests that there are a wealth of good ideas out there and that the most important thing is finding a way to roll up the best into a group large enough to be dynamic and interesting and small enough to be manageable.
To that end I am developing a new investing section on my website and will kick it off with a daily podcast of my regular Oil and Gas Futures report from the Peyto Energy Trust thread on Stockhouse. To subscribe to it with an RSS 2.0 feed click on the appropriate button for the type of aggregator you are using, this includes your My.Yahoo.Com home page if you are a registered user of their service. If this just sounds all 'geek' to you then click and learn about podcasting if you are more the 'click and do' type, or have already clicked and learned, this is a link to the site that has the aggregator that I use: Cita Aggregator.
As with the rest of my website I want to encourage feedback both on the website organization itself as well as having visitors interact with it to develop content. At the bottom of every page will be an icon for users to click on to enter feedback about the page, this does not require any identification. At a later date I will be adding a discussion forum for investments with what I hope are some real differences from other discussion forums.
The new contest for 2005 is now running and has its own home page at www.nadreck.com/vnc2.0
In June 2004 I started the Victory Nickel Contest to run for a year as a stock picking contest, you can view the picks for this contest and the score on my Victory Nickel Score page. The contestants of the first contest had an admirable record as a group and we now have an interview with the winner of the first Victory Nickel in the podcast archives.
The contest is titled for its prize: a Canadian Victory Nickel to be presented to the winner.
From time to time I have written articles on investing for other sites and while the list is manageable I will simply include them here, once I hit 6 or more I will create an archives page just for them.
